Colt!!!<div style="text-align: center; font-family: arial;">Well, the end is near. We had our very last appointment today at the Maternity Center, so we have scheduled an <a href="http://www.babycenter.com/0_inducing-labor_173.bc">induction</a>. Sometime on Friday, St. Josephs labour & delivery will call and I will go in to have a method of induction done involving a <a href="http://www.rhss.bc.ca/bins/content_page.asp?cid=101-197-653-656">prostaglandin gel</a>. They'll keep me for an hour to monitor me and the baby to see if labour will begin, if not I will be going home and returning in 6 hours for the procedure to be repeated. If the two applications of gel don't bring labour on, then on saturday morning I'll be returning to labour & delivery where they will give me IV of <a href="http://www.childbirth.org/articles/pit.html">pitocin</a> to start contractions! If all goes well baby Colt should be born on Saturday September 27th! If he isn't born until Sunday, it probably means I've had a really long labour, (lol so be cautious if you visit!) :) Since we were hoping for a natural birth I'm kind of dissapointed to have to be facing an induction, but there are alot of risks if the baby stays in for too long, so I know it is best. With a pitocin induced labour, contractions are apparently far more intense and painful, so I may end up having to request an <a href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Epidural">epidural</a> which I was also hoping to avoid. We'll have to just wait and see how I can tolerate the pain I suppose.<br />but... we are REALLY hoping he decides to make an appearance on his own sometime between now and friday. Wish us luck!<br /><br /><br /><br /></div>Chrisinhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/03812081434617994734noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3609389149911459093.post-36022256719337309442008-09-18T12:19:00.001-07:002008-09-18T12:22:49.745-07:00september 18, 2008<a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjwaTdh4SbYuBV5J5bWNB6Jdni4Ppg5GBNnMZ3ovgiQRDjp_Iu47Nr32SDGauYq1EZIo6Ya01MuFhYl3HeZyw-CNdbsKQLlkDIc-ghtzKqUm2freNJLNxeksc-8R9Si-y8a4wxJp1Q2Zbzo/s1600-h/unbirthday_Page_0.jpg"><img style="cursor: pointer;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjwaTdh4SbYuBV5J5bWNB6Jdni4Ppg5GBNnMZ3ovgiQRDjp_Iu47Nr32SDGauYq1EZIo6Ya01MuFhYl3HeZyw-CNdbsKQLlkDIc-ghtzKqUm2freNJLNxeksc-8R9Si-y8a4wxJp1Q2Zbzo/s400/unbirthday_Page_0.jpg" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5247443257013189586" border="0" /></a><br />today is Colt's due date, but I don't think he is going to make an appearance today! We had a doctors appointment this morning and things have progressed a bit since last week, but still nothing really to report. Just playing the waiting game! I go back in on monday to try to get things going some more and after that I'll be probably discussing induction for the weekend of the 27/28.<br /><object width="425" height="344"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/RdsZT7WKjW8&hl=en&fs=1"></param><param name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/RdsZT7WKjW8&hl=en&fs=1" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowfullscreen="true" width="425" height="344"></embed></object>Chrisinhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/03812081434617994734noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3609389149911459093.post-32275380665427904232008-09-13T23:25:00.000-07:002008-09-13T23:37:40.492-07:00(..jeopardy theme song..)<div style="text-align: center; font-family: arial;"><a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEi9RlKhJGdgLwj_YfmwnUSW8ckna6OhvN0FehPdTr_DxWNtSbltBFTW55nn5GaW9dDMa_2KUYI3BW9eSVYx_pkqQ_fkg0ihwtwSWiAdsHdXwxMhFxhwSquP5lnbYTtabxzgItr8F5rU08su/s1600-h/38weekbelly.jpg"><img style="cursor: pointer;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEi9RlKhJGdgLwj_YfmwnUSW8ckna6OhvN0FehPdTr_DxWNtSbltBFTW55nn5GaW9dDMa_2KUYI3BW9eSVYx_pkqQ_fkg0ihwtwSWiAdsHdXwxMhFxhwSquP5lnbYTtabxzgItr8F5rU08su/s400/38weekbelly.jpg" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5245759643916810194" border="0" /></a><br /><div style="text-align: center;">well, it's getting <span class="blsp-spelling-error" id="SPELLING_ERROR_0">sooo</span> close to the due date! I am so in love with how it turned out! I really wish we had a before shot... there was dusty pink carpet and beige walls. it's a totally different room now! rob did an amazing job tearing up the carpet and laying down the new laminate, painting & wallpapering. when i first mentioned doing a leopard print wall with lime green paint everyone looked at me like i was crazy, but i'm really happy how it all came together, i think it's a room he can really grow into.<br /></div><div style="font-family: arial; text-align: center;"><div style="text-align: center;"><a href="http://good-times.webshots.com/album/566653346FRgpyG"><img src="http://thumb4.webshots.net/t/71/71/6/93/9/2857693090103995224XFMkVy_th.jpg" alt="Image hosted by Webshots.com" /></a><br /></div><a href="http://community.webshots.com/user/11eleveneleven11"> check out all the pictures of the nursery</a><br /></div><div style="text-align: center;"><span style="font-family:arial;">leave a comment and let us know what you think!</span><br /><br /><br /><span style="font-family:arial;">oh yah, and as for myself and baby, we are both doing well! I've reached a total weight gain of 39lbs and am definitely feeling like I'm waddling around. his kicks and jabs hurt pretty bad sometimes! I'm hoping at our appointment this week I can get an update if I've made any progress in regards to going into labor. I've been getting alot of </span><a style="font-family: arial;" href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Braxton_Hicks">braxton hicks</a><span style="font-family:arial;"> contractions lately that have been somewhat painful, so I'm hoping its a sign he is coming soon! I've been steadily gaining weight, already having put on 20lbs. Our little baby has been kicking, punching, dancing, somersaulting and wiggling up a storm!! He keeps me awake at night sometimes with all his movements. at this point he weighs just over one pound himself and measuring at around one foot in length. we had our first ontario doctors appointment and my uterus measured in at 9.5 inches in length. well above my belly button now! the baby's heartbeat was fun to listen to this time because he wouldn't stop kicking around long enough for a good count. it was neat to hear his kicks and see them at the same time. his heart rate was 160bpm. rob thinks at this point he probably has a mustache! the new center we are going to is called The Maternity Center, across from st.josephs hospital, where we will deliver. so far it seems to be a nicer place than our other one in edmonton. we will be making calls this month and looking into some prenatal classes or partner yoga workshops. also, i have been feeling very tired lately and am doing another blood test to ensure that i do not have iron deficiency anemia.<br />as far as the baby being born is concerned we have decided on a few things. we were hoping to find out more information about a waterbirth option but have been told that at st.josephs they do labouring in water but not the birth. we have also decided that we will be using cloth diapers! check out some of the links i have posted to learn more about using them. :) we have also picked nursery decor! i can't wait to start putting the room together. we will be using a bright and fresh green and some leopard print wallpaper all accented with bright colours like orange and turquoise. and... the most important thing that we have decided, is the little baby's name!!<br />his name is <span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-size: large;">Colt Kenneth Earl Carruthers!</span><br />on my side of the family it is tradition to name all the children with names beginning with the letter C. we also wanted a unique name! kenneth is my grandfathers name while earl is rob's grandfathers name that has been given to both rob and his father as well. we think it has a nice ring to it.<br />will post some more belly pictures soon!</span>Chrisinhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/03812081434617994734noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3609389149911459093.post-14358755290526224912008-04-29T19:45:00.000-07:002008-06-04T07:03:41.966-07:00drum roll please.....<div style="text-align: center;"><a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgowb2lmhkiZ74ESs1yF1uihgQZluCYxN_s4SrEmyJZVGixnZnpHuo6Ipo6fv5xNKTDygNWYX9a-z92T3nQFuTYDTik-GF8_04aj7dw350ALPuMC5esvek9Y01DI_y6fKfOMrxTj71qnKKF/s1600-h/baby2c.jpg"><img style="margin: 0px auto 10px; display: block; text-align: center; cursor: pointer;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgowb2lmhkiZ74ESs1yF1uihgQZluCYxN_s4SrEmyJZVGixnZnpHuo6Ipo6fv5xNKTDygNWYX9a-z92T3nQFuTYDTik-GF8_04aj7dw350ALPuMC5esvek9Y01DI_y6fKfOMrxTj71qnKKF/s400/baby2c.jpg" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5194867993901548962" border="0" /></a><span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-family: arial;">cute little fat face!<br /></span></div><span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-family: arial;"><br /></span><div style="text-align: center;"><a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEg6xO3ULhursdz8zXSBfXYXrYlR_UqJ284RghL9J4yaEm4QHHfoZ7dNbybdXF5jOgzRbX8D732Zt8M0m-rD0pvItGDKctZKYRYTUpu_wq9rtdd0mVP24YnYvMazi8g1GLYF8kAHbb6VsNXZ/s1600-h/baby2b.jpg"><img style="margin: 0px auto 10px; display: block; text-align: center; cursor: pointer;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEg6xO3ULhursdz8zXSBfXYXrYlR_UqJ284RghL9J4yaEm4QHHfoZ7dNbybdXF5jOgzRbX8D732Zt8M0m-rD0pvItGDKctZKYRYTUpu_wq9rtdd0mVP24YnYvMazi8g1GLYF8kAHbb6VsNXZ/s400/baby2b.jpg" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5194867731908543890" border="0" /></a><span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-family: arial;">cool alien skull<br /><br /></span><a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiqE8IkrrlX9IvwRa8XSTofVv-Ih_ZHNM7D8c6ppQ7aMEuemjw4wMpDwafoaC4KI4gM2-S7-OJJjMMwUxE0tsYnliP_KHEVY8JITXGI7CSaw0OxQOeGI1zIuIpHpqWVnzKZDJxZXi69Bkiv/s1600-h/baby2a.jpg"><img style="margin: 0px auto 10px; display: block; text-align: center; cursor: pointer;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiqE8IkrrlX9IvwRa8XSTofVv-Ih_ZHNM7D8c6ppQ7aMEuemjw4wMpDwafoaC4KI4gM2-S7-OJJjMMwUxE0tsYnliP_KHEVY8JITXGI7CSaw0OxQOeGI1zIuIpHpqWVnzKZDJxZXi69Bkiv/s400/baby2a.jpg" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5194867585879655810" border="0" /></a></div><div style="text-align: center;"><span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-family: arial;">baby's little spine.. you can make out the body form and legs.<br /><br /><br />AND..... it's a boy!!!!<br />the voters were right (20 for a boy, 16 for a girl)<br /></span><div style="text-align: justify;"><span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-family: arial;">we found out that we are a week further than we thought, so as of today, I am half way there! Our littlest and loudest kitty was laying on my belly right over the baby purring away and I guess the baby was responding to her. I felt it move three times. It felt kinda like a bubble gum bubble bursting. It was pretty exciting! Today I have felt it twice as well. I'm guessing I better enjoy these little flutters now before they start to feel like a little baby with boots on kicking me.</span><br /></div>Chrisinhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/03812081434617994734noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3609389149911459093.post-21695851977792688302008-04-12T19:27:00.000-07:002008-04-12T19:29:43.754-07:00growing...<a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEi-1YXSqJsQCh6nWI81alZ56RmfpQ8N_7T7YEmb5zVa6WmEGgOvjUZM_cGJbFJsnx5mcGrjhRwdysPFtkmt6mauRXfF2QPdrFJbvcZ8CfZwkt5CAfzbhzHjWJWGFB7xMte2O9zq8PrR0Vy6/s1600-h/DSCF5724.JPG"><img style="margin: 0px auto 10px; display: block; text-align: center; cursor: pointer;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEi-1YXSqJsQCh6nWI81alZ56RmfpQ8N_7T7YEmb5zVa6WmEGgOvjUZM_cGJbFJsnx5mcGrjhRwdysPFtkmt6mauRXfF2QPdrFJbvcZ8CfZwkt5CAfzbhzHjWJWGFB7xMte2O9zq8PrR0Vy6/s400/DSCF5724.JPG" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5188551220234362658" border="0" /></a><br /><div style="text-align: center;">a picture of the growing belly, and the maternity jeans!<br /></div>Chrisinhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/03812081434617994734noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3609389149911459093.post-81504321902992412882008-04-10T19:03:00.001-07:002008-06-04T07:04:55.387-07:00busy daze..<span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-family: arial;">Well we are into week 16, day 108! My belly is finally starting to show, and definitely feels like it has been growing. We have started hitting up maternity stores and I thought I would dread trying to fit into those elastic banded jeans, but they are actually amazingly comfortable! I'm passed all the morning sickness which has been really awesome and food is now my best friend! Just feel tired alot and have been getting some cramps called 'growing pains'.<br /></span><a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="http://ohmyapt.apartmentratings.com/images/moving-day.jpg"><img style="margin: 0pt 10px 10px 0pt; float: left; cursor: pointer; width: 152px; height: 107px;" src="http://ohmyapt.apartmentratings.com/images/moving-day.jpg" alt="" border="0" /></a><a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="http://www.thebigsweet.com/Images/BulkCandy/TrolliGummis/sour-pacifiers-med.gif"><img style="margin: 0px auto 10px; display: block; text-align: center; cursor: pointer; width: 152px; height: 88px;" src="http://www.thebigsweet.com/Images/BulkCandy/TrolliGummis/sour-pacifiers-med.gif" alt="" border="0" /></a><span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-family: arial;"><br />We have decided that it is in our best interest, mostly for financial reasons, to move back to Ontario into my mom's house. It's bittersweet (like the sour candies I've been craving everyday) but it's for the best! We have our truck booked for the end of April, and my oh my if being pregnant and moving wasn't stressful enough, trying to jam the move in by the end of the month is driving me crazy! But, it will all work out and Rob has been working very hard to keep things running smooth. Rob has finished working for now to try to get the house packed up, and I will be working up until the 25th or so. Stressful!!<br /><br />This week I am going for some bloodwork to detect if I am in a risk category at all for Downs Syndrome and then our next ultrasound is April 23rd. I can't wait! It's hopefully the one that we find out if it's a little boy or girl! Sooo we will definitely post an update and pictures after the ultrasound, and baby co-operating, announce who it is!</span><a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="http://tbn0.google.com/images?q=tbn:kCMwm_BuyiOb9M:http://www.psychobabyonline.com/site/scpics/tmb/1742/boy_girl_symbols.jpg"><img style="margin: 0px auto 10px; display: block; text-align: center; cursor: pointer; width: 103px; height: 103px;" src="http://tbn0.google.com/images?q=tbn:kCMwm_BuyiOb9M:http://www.psychobabyonline.com/site/scpics/tmb/1742/boy_girl_symbols.jpg" alt="" border="0" /></a>Chrisinhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/03812081434617994734noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3609389149911459093.post-24508123717607494752008-03-19T21:40:00.001-07:002008-06-04T07:05:22.805-07:00ultrasound ultraexcited<div style="text-align: center; font-weight: bold;"><a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiJOnAt1Q3IF2bkX7sSS_Eyu5O8NfSEXhFDJ3uooceZSeTUVUspB3ssIPHvjYMtaRleakg8vqpnbE9AbD9c-u4KmpHmFEWyqkLfoh_zDrtKjqOu6D3Wu1EYWG78ErsvkB4mYcXMAgFGGw_J/s1600-h/babyfront.jpg"><img style="margin: 0px auto 10px; display: block; text-align: center; cursor: pointer; width: 319px; height: 479px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiJOnAt1Q3IF2bkX7sSS_Eyu5O8NfSEXhFDJ3uooceZSeTUVUspB3ssIPHvjYMtaRleakg8vqpnbE9AbD9c-u4KmpHmFEWyqkLfoh_zDrtKjqOu6D3Wu1EYWG78ErsvkB4mYcXMAgFGGw_J/s400/babyfront.jpg" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5179684744104004578" border="0" /></a><span style="color: rgb(51, 51, 51);font-size:78%;"><span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-family: arial;">a front view of the baby, its facial features, arm & little hand, and weird little legs<br /><br /></span></span></div><div style="text-align: center; font-weight: bold;"><a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhL0HvtfZZxM_uJqt82KFJxlYoroO-5iB91E92z6VrpZgr1rEhL9EdITgeePN7VwKftYhIpXMw_Z2GO_gaTi01Y1i3hJ_yrerjKaZ_5OE6CBDoSG_BfbAxKcVQUK2dbt4a7VXyuOW5iEmtf/s1600-h/babyback.jpg"><img style="margin: 0px auto 10px; display: block; text-align: center; cursor: pointer; width: 325px; height: 503px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhL0HvtfZZxM_uJqt82KFJxlYoroO-5iB91E92z6VrpZgr1rEhL9EdITgeePN7VwKftYhIpXMw_Z2GO_gaTi01Y1i3hJ_yrerjKaZ_5OE6CBDoSG_BfbAxKcVQUK2dbt4a7VXyuOW5iEmtf/s400/babyback.jpg" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5179684421981457362" border="0" /></a><span style="color: rgb(51, 51, 51);"><span style="font-size:78%;"><span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-family: arial;">the back of the baby, shoulders & hips<br /><br /></span></span></span></div><div style="text-align: center;"><a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhHoPctAeNhmrskxK0MVYh7_nEE7BmBM8tYCSt3YPA5gYZM-jaylVqIKBOrW9xf37MH-Cn5nowlcDPYgGmJyIgnjUzIHdcMpO5PbhMc0GxCj26e80nd3YZUanxSJHzE5ftSBDS-apkgdQ5F/s1600-h/babyprofile.jpg"><img style="margin: 0px auto 10px; display: block; text-align: center; cursor: pointer; width: 332px; height: 488px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhHoPctAeNhmrskxK0MVYh7_nEE7BmBM8tYCSt3YPA5gYZM-jaylVqIKBOrW9xf37MH-Cn5nowlcDPYgGmJyIgnjUzIHdcMpO5PbhMc0GxCj26e80nd3YZUanxSJHzE5ftSBDS-apkgdQ5F/s400/babyprofile.jpg" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5179684134218648514" border="0" /></a><span style="font-weight: bold; color: rgb(51, 51, 51);font-size:78%;"><span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-family: arial;">the babys profile and little face, slight view of the spine & brain</span></span><span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-family: arial;"><br /></span></div><span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-family: arial;"><br /><br /></span><div style="text-align: justify;"><span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-family: arial;">yay! ultrasound! almost didn't make it between clocks reading wrong, directions to pick up rob in a small town being confused, dead cell phone, almost running out of gas, and almost getting, a speeding ticket all the while ready to burst after drinking all the required water, we made it. haha with 7 minutes of our appointment time left! i had to pee SO bad by this point, she started the ultrasound and told me i could go empty a cup of my bladder, ha! trying to stop midstream was a challenge. but i managed and went back to the room. the ultrasound tech was not happy, got to her business and wasn't going to let rob in the room. she did all her measurements though and then called rob in and we looked at the monitor together. it was pretty amazing!<br /><br />the baby was so active, we could see all its little fingers and spine, ribs, and brain... it was really awesome! the baby is 7.28cm long from head to bum not including the legs, it's heartbeat was 158 beats per minute and we are officially at 13weeks and 3 days. the baby was waving its arms and flipping all around. i could have watched that monitor for so long! the tech said it was too early to determine sex, so we'll be waiting until the next one to hear that news! (although rob insists he can see its a boy, lol)</span><br /></div>Chrisinhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/03812081434617994734noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3609389149911459093.post-61770637290827873722008-03-17T22:27:00.000-07:002008-06-04T07:05:56.866-07:00st. patricks day cheer without the beer..<a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="http://www.sxc.hu/pic/m/m/me/mehere/462365_clover_leaf.jpg"><img style="margin: 0pt 10px 10px 0pt; float: left; cursor: pointer; width: 126px; height: 119px;" src="http://www.sxc.hu/pic/m/m/me/mehere/462365_clover_leaf.jpg" alt="" border="0" /></a><br /><br /><span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-family: arial;">so today is st. patricks day, and if we are right on our self predicted date of conception, today is the end of the first trimester! yay! maybe that will mean no more throwing up and being super sleepy alll the time?? i hope so...<br /><br />so up until this point:<br />on january 28th i decided to take an at home pregnancy test (from the dollar store), and it gave me a positive result.. uhh rob, you might wanna come take a look at this... so we were very skeptical (dollar store test..) so that afternoon we went to planned parenthood where another test confirmed that we were indeed having a baby.<br />rob: excited<br />christin: scared<br />so we were in shock all afternoon and decided to make all the family calls. some went better than others, but in general there was mostly happiness. or at least it would turn into happiness eventually after the shock of it all.<br /><br />so from january until now i've been getting quite sick at work since smells are overwhelming and i've also been extremely tired, i didn't really think being pregnant would feel this awful! also, i definitely miss</span><a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="http://oboerista.files.wordpress.com/2007/08/coffee_beans.jpg"><img style="margin: 0pt 10px 10px 0pt; float: left; cursor: pointer; width: 200px;" src="http://oboerista.files.wordpress.com/2007/08/coffee_beans.jpg" alt="" border="0" /></a><span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-family: arial;"> coffee and beer and wine but its a worthwhile sacrifice. even though i was waiting for roll up the rim to return since i was a twice daily customer, but oh well.<br />i have had a few cravings that have had us running to stores or restaurants but nothing too weird.<br /><br />march 10th was our first doctors appointment. we are going to a group here in edmonton called </span><a href="http://momcare.ca/"><span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-family: arial;">mom care</span></a><span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-family: arial;"> which is a group of 6 OBgyn female doctors. you meet with all of them throughout the pregnancy and during delivery day whichever doctor is oncall that day will deliver.<br />my weight was 55.9kg or 123lbs. and we got to hear the baby's heartbeat!! that was really</span><a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="http://www.gregscott.com/rwscott/rwscott.hummingbird_small.jpg"><img style="margin: 0pt 0pt 10px 10px; float: right; cursor: pointer; width: 90px; height: 90px;" src="http://www.gregscott.com/rwscott/rwscott.hummingbird_small.jpg" alt="" border="0" /></a><span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-family: arial;"> exciting, as it made it feel real. like there actually IS a baby in there and i dont just have some parasite or flu making me feel sick. the baby's heartbeat was 166 beats per minute. sounded like a little hummingbird!<br />my belly is definitely starting to show now, will post some pictures soon. updates on wednesday with the news from our first ultrasound.... ahh! hope we find out if its a boy or a girl. oh and<br />rob: very excited<br />christin: very excited</span>Chrisinhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/03812081434617994734noreply@blogger.com6
